As reported by Fox News, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with rising tensions and halted truce talks with Tehran, senior strategic analyst and retired General Jack Keane is advising the U.S. government to ramp up secretive pressure on Iranian leaders.
Keane suggested that existing economic strains are already unsettling the regime and that intelligence entities should actively take advantage of these weaknesses.
“If we aren’t already engaging in this, I believe that MOSSAD and the C.I.A. ought to do everything possible to weaken this regime,” Keane expressed. “The regime is becoming weaker daily as the economic troubles really start to affect them.”
Keane’s remarks arise as the Trump administration considers its choices after the deadlines for a possible agreement have passed.
