Busola Oke, popularly known as Eleyele, a renowned Nigerian gospel and inspirational singer, broke down in tears during a live session on social media, revealing the depth of her struggles. She disclosed that at several points last year, she prayed to God to take her life because of the overwhelming challenges she was facing.
In an interview with TALK TO B, Busola explained that her emotional breakdown was not sudden but the result of months of hardship. She said she had been battling personal and financial difficulties, including the burden of rent and other pressing issues, which pushed her into despair.
She revealed that she had repeatedly asked God to take her life in October, November, and December of last year, even before her rent was due. Despite her pleas, she said those prayers were not answered, leaving her to continue enduring the struggles.
