Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Tanko Yunusa has expressed his views on possible political alignments ahead of the 2027 general election, particularly involving Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Yunusa spoke on the prospects of a joint ticket, noting that such a combination could generate significant support across different parts of the country. His remarks come amid increasing discussions about opposition strategies and possible alliances ahead of the next presidential election.
According to him, “I can tell you for sure that if you have those two peers, with all due respect, Peter Obi on the ballot with Kwankwaso as vice president, by 12:00 on the day of the election, the election is over.”
He explained that his comments reflect confidence in the popularity and political reach of both figures. Yunusa noted that combining their strengths could create a broad coalition capable of attracting support from diverse voter groups.
