Yoruba Nollywood actress, Yusuf Kafilat Omoshalewa popularly known as Basira Beree, has opened up about a deeply painful experience involving deception and an unplanned pregnancy.
Speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, the actress detailed how she was misled by a man who used romantic gestures to gain her trust.
She explained that she fell victim to a scheme involving flowers on February 14, an act she now views as a calculated deception that led to a sexual encounter.
The incident marked a significant breach of her personal boundaries, as she disclosed that she had never previously spent the night in a man’s house before that fateful day.
The actress revealed that the encounter resulted in a pregnancy she was initially unaware of, as she continued to experience what she believed was her menstrual cycle.
She expressed that the memory of the Valentine’s Day incident continues to cause her emotional pain.
While she has come to terms with what happened, she made it clear that she is not open to hearing pleas regarding the situation, indicating a firm resolve to move forward without outside intervention.
Her words: “I was pregnant but I didn’t know because I was still seeing my period. I was deceived with flowers on the 14th of February. It still pains me till now. I’ve accepted my fate, don’t try to plead with me. It happened on the 14th of February. I’ve never slept in a man’s house before.
