Speaking during an interview on Mic On Podcast, Zainab Buba Galadima, a former Technical Assistant to the Vice President, shared her views on political engagement and public perception in the northern region, referencing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Galadima spoke on the relationship between political leadership and grassroots support, noting that public sentiment remains an important factor in governance. Her remarks come amid ongoing discussions about political alignment and citizen engagement across different regions of the country.
According to her, “He might have all the governors, but he doesn’t have the masses. And maybe people around him are lying to him that he does. Or maybe they think giving people rice is the solution to every problem we have. They shoot you, they give you rice. They kill you, they give you rice. They want you to go to school, they give you rice. Everything is about rice.”
