We Walked For An Hour; The Kidnappers Brought Bicycles, And We Rode For More Than 4 Hours -Principal

According to a video posted by TVC on Monday, July 13, 2026, the principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, Mrs. Alamu Folawe, recounted the ordeal she and other abducted teachers and pupils endured after they were kidnapped in Oyo State.

Folawe said the kidnappers initially used her vehicle to transport some of the victims before forcing them to continue the journey on foot. She explained that after meeting the primary school pupils and their teachers at another location, the group trekked for about an hour before the abductors brought bicycles to move them deeper into the forest.

According to her, “When we were taken, my car was used to convey us to a point. That was where we met the primary pupils and their teachers. So we had to walk for about 1 hour. They brought bicycles, about 10 of them. So we were packed there, and we rode for more than 4 hours on untarred paths, but they knew their way.”

The principal said the journey into captivity was long and difficult, adding that the abductors appeared familiar with the terrain as they navigated remote routes through the forest.
