Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Abdulrahaman Mohammed were declared as the owners of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP by Justice Uche Agomoh.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Saturday June 6th, 2026 he pointed out that the Ibadan high court Judge had questions to answer.
Justice Uche Agomoh, in a landmark ruling which triggered massive public attention, declared the factional leaders as owners of the PDP few months to the general elections.
The judgement, according to Chidi Odinkalu, was delivered when no complaint was brought before her court, an act which undermined judicial prudence and cast shadows on the integrity of the judicial system.
However, he pointed out that the chief judge of the Ibadan high court acted out of ignorance following the decision of the court of appeal to overturn her judgement.
Justice Uche Agomoh, also according to the former national human rights commission boss, must provide answers to her actions or made to face the consequences.
