According to a report by The Times of Israel on May 23, 2026, the United States has almost completely excluded Israel from the negotiations with Iran according to two Israeli defense officials who informed The New York Times.
Israel remained entirely uninvolved in the discussions that preceded the ceasefire and only discovered updates about the talks between the United States and Tehran through regional diplomatic contacts together with its own surveillance operations.
