According to a report by Al-Jazeera on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Iran’s Army warned that continued military action might establish new battlefronts using “new tools and methods.”
Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, Iranian Army spokesperson, warned a crowd in Valiasr Square in Tehran, according to the Army’s public relations department.
Akraminia stressed that Iran is militarily and strategically resilient to sanctions and blockades.
He declared, “The Islamic Republic of Iran cannot be blockaded or defeated.
He also warned that any perceived attempt by rivals to replicate past military operations would be greeted with a stronger response.
“If the enemy commits another folly and falls into the Zionists’ trap again, and launches another aggression against our dear Iran, we will open new fronts with new tools and methods,” he stated.
The Army spokeswoman also noted that Iranian forces have used the truce to improve operational capabilities rather than lessen attentiveness.
He said the Iranian military is vigilant and has improved its battle readiness across all branches.
Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping route, and that the strategic balance has shifted irreversibly.
He warned that the Strait “will never return to their previous state,” and that Iran’s enemies must respect its sovereignty and legal rights.
“The enemy can only respect the Iranian nation and observe the legitimate rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.
Tehran has accused the US and Israel of coordinating military attacks on Iranian territory and infrastructure, including nuclear installations. Iranian authorities claim their responses were self-defence.
In response to enemy attacks, Iran launched repeated rounds of “Operation True Promise 4” retaliation strikes targeting military infrastructure.
A regionally mediated ceasefire has been in force since April, but tensions remain high. Iranian officials have also highlighted maritime limitations and foreign pressure on commercial routes as cause for diplomatic stalemate.
Tehran says it would monitor the Strait of Hormuz until hostile measures and blockades are lifted and a lasting political solution is reached……See More
