Nwalieze: No One Knows What Happened, No Car Was Heard Leaving, And His Gate Was Not Opened -Witness

The body of a 67-year-old man, Chief Augustine Nwalieze, has been discovered in his residence in the Ajah area of Lagos State with machete injuries, sparking shock and mourning among family and associates.

According to report by THE SUN on Tuesday April 28 2026, it was gathered that Nwalieze, who worked as a manager with Okeyson Transport, was attacked on Saturday morning while preparing to leave his home.

A family source said the house gateman, identified as Abdullahi Dairu, has been missing since the incident and has not been seen or reached.

The source alleged that the gateman may have attacked the deceased for reasons yet to be established, as the victim was heading towards the car park area of the house where spare parts and a solar panel were kept.

According to the source, there were no immediate signs of forced exit or movement outside the compound, as the vehicles remained parked and the gate appeared untouched.

The source said, “Nobody could really tell what happened. They didn’t hear the sound of any car driving off or the gate opening. His three cars were still parked, so, they became worried about his whereabouts. They called his phone, but he didn’t pick up.”…..See More
