Iran: This Is Not A Ground War, Their Air Defenses Have Been Devastated And Taken Out -Buccino

Col. Joe Buccino (Ret.), former U.S. Central Command spokesman, offered his assessment of the fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran during an appearance on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom, focusing on the balance of military power and the implications for regional stability. He discussed how recent developments have shaped the current pause in hostilities and the constraints facing Iran’s armed forces.

Buccino noted that while Iran retains a large and capable ground force, its overall military capacity has been significantly weakened in other key areas. He stressed that the current confrontation is not centered on traditional land warfare, but rather on air and naval dominance, where Iran has suffered substantial losses.

Buccino said, “Iran is very limited in what they can do militarily. They have a very significant ground force, but this is not a ground war. Their air defenses have been devastated and taken out almost entirely. Their naval fleet has been taken out almost entirely.”
