According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, The head of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom has confirmed that staffing levels at Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant have been significantly reduced following evacuations linked to the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.
Rosatom Chief Alexei Likhachev stated that only 20 personnel remain at the facility after a large-scale withdrawal of staff was carried out as a precautionary measure due to escalating regional security risks.
According to Likhachev, a group of 108 evacuated employees is expected to cross into Armenia on Tuesday as part of coordinated relocation efforts.
The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, Iran’s only operational nuclear power facility, has remained under international observation due to its strategic importance and involvement of foreign technical personnel, including Russian specialists.
The evacuation comes amid heightened tensions across the region, with recent military activity and geopolitical friction raising concerns over the safety of critical infrastructure.
