A fresh warning about the United States’ military readiness has emerged, raising concerns about its ability to sustain another major conflict amid rising global tensions.
In a post shared on his verified social media account, Douglas MacGregor highlighted a new report suggesting that the US could face a shortage of critical missile stockpiles if an additional war breaks out. The claim underscores growing scrutiny over the sustainability of America’s defense resources following prolonged military commitments.
Citing defense analyst Mark Cancian, MacGregor pointed to what he described as “high munitions expenditures” that have significantly reduced available reserves. According to Cancian, this situation has created “a window of increased vulnerability in the western Pacific,” a region viewed as strategically vital due to rising tensions involving major powers.
