Media publisher Dele Momodu on Friday faulted critics for attacking former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, saying they should direct their energy at the ruling government instead of a man who “has never wronged your preferred candidate.”
Reacting to a viral video on X, Momodu described the attacks as “unbridled chicanery.” He argued that age and experience should not disqualify Abubakar from seeking office.
“DONALD TRUMP, JOE BIDEN, BERNIE SANDERS, ELLEN JOHNSON SIRLEAF, MUHAMMADU BUHARI, NELSON MANDELA, NANA AKUFO-ADDO, HILLARY CLINTON, JOSEPH BOAKAI, and others, made good use of their age and experience for the betterment of their nations; what disqualifies ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR please,” Momodu wrote.
The Ovation Magazine publisher warned against repeating what he called past mistakes in the Peoples Democratic Party. “We don’t want what happened with PDP to happen with ADC. Forget about your interest,” he said.
