In an interview on the Dairy of A Naija Girl show, Nollywood actor, Daniel Etim Effiong, stated that his father, Lieutenant Colonel Moses Effiong (rtd), was imprisoned for eight years before being released in 1993
Daniel said his father was granted a presidential pardon in 2020. He said his father single-handedly raised him and his 3 siblings after the death of their mother. Daniel said his father always encouraged them to love one another and serve God faithfully
In Daniel’s words: “My dad was in prison for 8 years, he was released in 1993 but he was not granted presidential pardon, it was in 2020 that he was granted the presidential pardon.
