If I Weren’t President, The World Would Be Torn To Pieces -Trump

According to a report by The Times Of Israel on April 15, 2026, US President Donald Trump told ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl that he was not considering extending the ceasefire with Iran, saying it was most likely not necessary. He made the remarks while renewed negotiations were underway with Tehran over a possible agreement.

“I think you’re going to be watching an amazing two days ahead,” Trump says amid renewed talks with Iran for a deal. “I really do.”

Trump suggested that the outcome of the talks could go in different directions, but expressed preference for a diplomatic resolution. “It could end either way, but I think a deal is preferable because then they can rebuild,” Trump tells the reporter. He added that reaching an agreement would allow for reconstruction and help stabilize the situation, emphasizing that negotiations remained the best available path forward.

He also spoke about the importance of the coming days in determining the direction of the discussions, indicating that developments could happen quickly. According to him, the situation remained fluid and required careful handling as both sides continued engagement.

Trump then asserts that “If I weren’t president, the world would be torn to pieces.” He credited his leadership with helping to prevent global instability and containing escalating conflicts. The president argued that his administration had played a central role in maintaining order during periods of heightened tension.

He further suggested that strong diplomatic pressure and direct communication with adversaries had contributed to avoiding wider confrontation. The ongoing Iran talks, he said, were part of efforts aimed at securing a lasting agreement that could reduce tensions and support long-term peace in the region…..See More
