During an interview on Arise Television, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, National Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), reacted sharply to questions from anchor Oseni Rufai regarding the possibility of internal crises within his party.
The exchange followed a question about whether the PRP could face factional disputes or legal challenges, particularly as new members join the party. Baba-Ahmed dismissed the suggestion, insisting that the party remains stable and free of internal wrangling.
He maintained that, unlike other opposition parties grappling with divisions and court cases, the PRP has managed to maintain cohesion. He added that party members remain grateful for the absence of internal conflict, especially in the current political environment.
According to him, “With this your bad prayer; you’ll wash your mouth. Go and wash your mouth for making bad predictions. Look, in this administration, every day we wake up and there’s nothing wrong outside our door, and we say, “Thank you, God,” because seriously, the opposition is in trouble.
