Several reactions have trailed the comment that was made by former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani after the Minister of Defense, Christopher Musa announced that Turkey will establish military training base in Nigeria.
The reaction of Senator Shehu Sani was contained in a post that was shared on his official X handle on Monday, April 20, 2026.
According to PUNCH, the decision was reached after Christopher Musa held bilateral talks with the Turkish Minister of Defence at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026.
However, Senator Shehu Sani has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said those who don’t like the presence of the American military will now have the presence of the Turkish military.
