Borno, Kaduna & Ekiti CPs: They May Be New At Their Stations, But They’ll Soon Be Changed -Ayodele

In a recent video shared on Facebook on Sunday, April 19, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele spoke about possible changes within the leadership of the Nigerian Police Force, particularly concerning Commissioners of Police posted to several states across the country.

In the video, Ayodele stated, “They may be new at their stations, but they will soon be changed,” He explained that the Commissioners of Police in Borno State, Kaduna State, and Ekiti State may not remain in their current postings for long, despite their recent appointments.

According to Ayodele, changes within police leadership at the state level are not unusual, especially when authorities seek to improve security operations, strengthen command structures, or respond to emerging challenges. He noted that such adjustments are often part of broader administrative decisions aimed at improving efficiency.

Ayodele further emphasized that effective policing requires continuous monitoring and evaluation of officers in charge of different states. He suggested that redeployments or replacements may occur if performance expectations are not met or if strategic security priorities demand it.
