Amaechi, Atiku Are The Same Factors Who Bungled Destiny Of PDP, Today, They’ve Ran Back -Afegbua

APC chieftain and Edo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kassim Afegbua, has criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and other political figures, accusing them of contributing to the challenges that weakened the Peoples Democratic Party.

Afegbua made the remarks during an interview on Arise News, where he reacted to ongoing political realignments and movements involving prominent opposition figures. He argued that some of the politicians now seeking refuge in other political platforms were among those responsible for the internal crises that destabilized the PDP.

Speaking during the interview, Afegbua said, “The same factors, Amaechi, Atiku and everybody are the same factors who bungled the destiny of PDP and today, they have ran back to another party owned by other persons without fulfilling all due righteousness.”

He suggested that the political actors he referenced had failed to take responsibility for their alleged roles in the PDP’s troubles before aligning themselves with other parties. According to him, their actions raise questions about political consistency, loyalty and commitment to democratic principles.

Afegbua’s comments come amid increasing discussions over coalition-building ahead of future elections, with several opposition leaders engaging in consultations aimed at forging stronger alliances. His remarks add to the growing debate over whether former political rivals and defectors can successfully unite under a common platform to challenge the ruling party.

The APC chieftain further implied that political ambition, rather than ideology or reform, was driving many of the current alliances being formed across party lines…..See More
