Kwara: I Peeped Through My Window And Saw Them, They Were Not Less Than 40 -Resident

A resident of Kaima community in Kwara State whose identities were withheld has narrated his horrific ordeal after bandits unleashed mayhem on the village. According to his statements which were shared by VANGUARD, he also disclosed what he saw after peeping through his window.

The news regarding the deadly attack orchestrated by bandits suspected to be members of a local terrorist group in Kaima community of Kwara State generated mixed reactions after the reports surfaced online.

The attack, which lasted for hours, led to the loss of several lives, including five forest guards who were stationed to protect the community.

In a recent statement which was made available to the general public by VANGUARD, a resident whose identities were not ventilated to the general public narrated his horrific ordeal.

According to his statements, he pointed out that during the invasion, he peeped through his window and saw the bandits, over forty in number, attacking the forest guards.

The forest guards, according to the resident, also mounted a spirited resistant but were overwhelmed due to superior firepower and numerical advantage.

The attack, which had generated tensions in the community, came amid the insecurity crisis rocking the country. However, armed military personnel entered the scene, temporarily dousing tensions.
