In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Peter Ameh, the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Senatorial candidate for Kogi East, said the electoral prospects of Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress, ADC, 2027 presidential candidate, would depend on his ability to attract support across the country’s geopolitical zones.
Ameh said he does not believe Atiku can secure enough votes in the southern part of Nigeria, adding that the outcome in the region would make it difficult for the ADC presidential candidate to build a winning path in the 2027 election.
He said candidates seeking the presidency must enjoy broad acceptance across the country and cannot rely on support from only a few regions if they hope to meet the constitutional requirements for victory.
