Public Affairs Analyst Aliu Mohammed has argued that the Federal Government’s response to the controversy involving Mr. Adeyemi did not amount to a complete denial of his alleged links to senior government officials.
Mohammed made the assertion during an interview on Vanguard News TV, on Tuesday, 7 July, 2026, while reacting to the scandal surrounding Mr. Adeyemi, the central figure in a controversy rocking the Nigerian presidency.
Adeyemi had allegedly created a fake government agency, forged letters of appointment, and secured approvals that were reportedly processed by senior government officials who were misled by the documents.
Commenting on the official reaction to the allegations, Mohammed said the statements issued by the government left room for interpretation rather than completely distancing Adeyemi from those he claimed to know.
“The Federal government did not totally deny him. Gbajabiamila in his speech or statement that I read said he never met him but if you listen to Adeyemi very well, you will know that he is a man that is very close to everybody he has mentioned,” Mohammed stated.
He explained that the distinction between denying a personal meeting and rejecting all forms of association is significant, urging the public to carefully examine the wording of official statements.
According to the analyst, Adeyemi’s references to several prominent figures suggest he had some level of access to influential individuals, even though the nature and extent of those relationships remain disputed…….See More
