South Africa Returnee Reveals How A Young Petrol Attended Threatened To Unalive Him On June 30th

A returnee from South Africa, Itoro Richard, has revealed how a direct threat to his life ahead of the June 30 “March and March” protest prompted him to leave the country immediately for Nigeria.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, “I left South Africa because of numerous physical threats. I was living in a suburb, and there was a young man at the petrol station, they call it a garage there. The young man told me, ‘Come the 30th, you will see a different me. This was someone I regularly bought petrol from. He was having an argument with someone else and I was trying to calm things down. Then he said, ‘You call me a young man, come the 30th of June, you will know I’m not a young man. He said I will make sure I sever your head.”

Richard said the man went on to describe how he would kill him and harm his family. He also narrated how his landlord, a Zulu man who had taken part in the liberation struggle and spent time in exile, also warned him to leave.

According to Richard, the landlord described the threats as coming from “a few rotten eggs” but still advised him to move out of the house, a warning that ultimately led to his decision to leave South Africa……See More
