Former Kano State Governor and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has alleged that the people of Kano State evaluate President Bola Tinubu’s administration through the lens of two men, former governor Abdullahi Ganduje and current Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Speaking on Arise TV, Kwankwaso said perception on the ground is shaped by local faces, not federal ones. “If you go to Kano, people see President Tinubu through the face of Ganduje, and through the face of the current governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf. Now you ask the question: how do our people see them? That is the question and it applies to all the states,” he said.
He challenged the belief that holding government power automatically translates to political control. “Now, people believe that if you are a governor, you can do anything. That is not correct especially now, where eyes are wide open,” Kwankwaso said.
He argued that the political mood across the country has shifted significantly, with many Nigerians actively searching for alternatives and unwilling to accept the status quo.
