John Azi; I Don’t Have Anything, My Son Just Went Out To Earn A Living And He Was Kidnapped -Mary Azi

A routine trip turned into a nightmare for 28-year-old John Arum Azi, a young technician from Jos who was preparing for his national youth service. Known for fixing musical equipment to support his family, John set out on a journey to Kaduna, unaware of the danger ahead.

According to a video shared by AIT News, along the highway, he and six others were abducted by armed men. Soon after, disturbing videos began circulating online, showing John being violently treated while his captors demanded a huge ransom. The amount was first set at 30 million naira, placing immense pressure on his already struggling family.

John’s mother, Mary Azi, is now at the center of the emotional crisis. Mary explained that she has no money to meet the ransom demands made by the kidnappers. She described her situation as helpless, saying she has nothing left to give and is only hoping and praying for her son’s safe return.

The emotional weight of the situation is even heavier because she has already lost her husband 15 years ago. Now, she fears losing her son, who has been a source of support and hope for the family.

As the days passed, another video emerged, this time with threats to end John’s life. The ransom demand was later reduced to four million naira, but even that remains far beyond what the family can afford.

For John’s family, it is now a desperate wait filled with fear, hope, and prayers for his safe return.

In her words, “What’s this, I don’t have anything, I just want my son back and I’m trusting God about it. He just went out to earn a living and he was kidnapped.”…..See More
