According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Sunday, April 12, 2026, The commander of Iran’s Quds Force, Esmail Qaani, has said that sustained Israeli military pressure has strengthened what he described as the “resistance front,” making it more unified and resilient.
Speaking on Sunday, Qaani stated that ongoing attacks and civilian casualties have not weakened the alliance but have instead reinforced its cohesion. His remarks were reported by Iran’s state news agency, IRNA.
He said the “resistance front” continues to operate as a coordinated force despite intensifying pressure, rejecting the idea that military actions could force it into retreat.
“The Zionist regime believes that by pressuring the resistance and martyring its members and innocent, oppressed people, it can lead them to defeat, weakness or surrender,” Qaani said.
He argued that such actions have had the opposite effect, increasing resolve among its members and strengthening internal unity.
“Today, the resistance front is stronger and more united than ever,” he added.
Qaani’s comments come at a time of heightened regional tension, following a series of confrontations and continued hostilities involving Israel and groups aligned with Iran.
His remarks also coincide with ongoing diplomatic engagement between Iran and the United States in Islamabad. The talks, hosted by Pakistan, are considered the most significant direct negotiations between the two countries in decades.
Officials from both sides are holding discussions under a fragile two-week ceasefire announced earlier in the week. The negotiations are focused on reducing tensions and addressing broader regional security concerns.
