Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo State, has alleged that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is indirectly doing the ruling All Progressives Congress a favour by attacking Labour Party’s Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking on Channels TV, the senator said the opposition infighting was working in APC’s interest. “Atiku is now our best campaign manager, because he is attacking Obi and Obi is attacking Amaechi,” he said. “I see Amaechi saying Obi is a regional player and that Atiku is a regional player, but he is the only national player. But he did not tell us what his ward unit looks like.”
On the question of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s potential involvement in 2027, Oshiomhole urged political actors to stop speaking on his behalf. “Do not drag my brother into this. He is a gentleman, one of the few who said that Nigeria’s blood is not worth his own ambition,” the senator said.
