Mrs. Celestina Amadi, a 75-year-old widow from Abazu Akabo in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, has spoken about her struggle to reconcile with the complainant who accused her son of robbery, leading to his arrest 28 years ago.
Her son, David Amadi, was arrested at the age of 17 and has remained in prison ever since alongside two others.

She made the statement while speaking on whether the matter between her family and the complainant has been resolved.
According to her, the pain of the incident is still fresh, and reconciliation is not possible while her son remains in detention. She said true peace can only come when her son and the others are released from prison.
