Dr. Oludare Marindoti has called on Nigerians to celebrate the successful rescue of the abducted students and principal of Community High School, Esiele, Oyo State, saying the achievement deserves national recognition regardless of political affiliations.
Speaking during an interview on TVC News, on Saturday, 11 July, 2026, while reacting to the rescue operation, Marindoti stressed that the development should not be viewed through the lens of partisan politics. He said the successful outcome reflected the efforts of the country’s security agencies and the federal government, urging Nigerians to acknowledge positive achievements even during a politically charged period.
Marindoti said, “Everybody should celebrate it. I know we are in election season and I’m not here celebrating it because I’m a member of APC. I resigned and I’m even not a supporter of the president right now but we have to give him thanks and appreciate the effort.”
He maintained that national security should remain above political rivalry, arguing that the safe return of the victims was a victory for the entire country. According to him, moments of success in the fight against insecurity should unite citizens rather than deepen political divisions.
