Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, recently spoke out in defence of Peter Obi during an interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast. Fayose was reacting to comments made by a political commentator who claimed that Obi is not fit to rule Nigeria.
In his response, Fayose questioned the political commentator’s achievements and mocked his work. “What does he do?” he asked. “I’m a trader, I build and sell, I export food, I’m a money-making machine. We don’t do the same thing.”
Fayose went on to say that the person works in the media but doesn’t even own a studio. He called him a “political caricature” – someone who only talks and makes noise without real impact.
He then praised Peter Obi, saying, “You can’t compare Obi. Obi is a money-making machine. He’s standing very strong.” According to Fayose, Obi has built real businesses and created jobs, while the latter just uses “English” to make himself sound important.
He claims he’s a political consultant, but Fayose dismissed that too. “Is that a job? Consulting for whom?” he asked, suggesting the work is more like “image laundering” – helping politicians look good without actually doing anything meaningful.
