Assassination Attempt: They Said A Gunman Tired To Come In From Outside The Secure Perimeter -Heinrich

As reported by Fox News, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, new information has come to light concerning the security measures taken at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner held on April 25, 2026, after an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump.

Jacqui Heinrich, a senior White House correspondent for Fox News, was on stage during the event and provided more insight into the messages she received from the security team after she was relocated to a safe area.

Heinrich recounted the moments following the initial mayhem, when she was able to reconnect with security staff to grasp the situation regarding the crisis.

The information shared by the security team verified that the shooter did not enter the main area but was stopped before he could get into the secure zone.

“I returned to the stage and got a clearer update from the team,” Heinrich explained. “They informed me that a gunman had attempted to enter from outside the safe boundary.”

After the immediate threat was dealt with, the Secret Service directed their attention to assuring that no additional risks were present inside the ballroom.

Heinrich praised the agents for their diligence as they checked the vicinity.
