In a recent analysis of the current geopolitical landscape, Keane emphasized that the regime is facing a precarious transition period, contrasting the consolidated power of the past with the uncertainty of the present.
“Let’s set the table a little bit so our viewers can get a feel for this,” Keane remarked during his assessment. “Where the Iranians are coming from and you pointed out so accurately, there is a power vacuum certainly with the killing of the Ayatollah and his son taking over and him being wounded.”

He noted that even in the absence of the injuries sustained by the successor, the disparity in authority remains stark.
“Even if he is not wounded, the power that he holds is nowhere in comparison to the 37 years of power that his father held,” Keane stated.
The retired general further elaborated on the mechanics of the regime’s control, noting that the late Supreme Leader commanded an entire apparatus that the successor has yet to fully secure.
According to Keane, the elder leader “had complete control over the administrative state that runs the country and all of the people with the guns who sustained the regime, the IRGC et cetera.”……See More
