Babachir Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has spoken about a promise he made to late President Muhammadu Buhari concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a video shared by Channels Television, Lawal said before Buhari died, the late president told him he would have political conflicts with Tinubu. He stated that Buhari advised him not to make the conflict personal.
Lawal said Buhari specifically asked him to focus only on political issues and avoid personal attacks against Tinubu. Lawal stated that he agreed and promised to respect that instruction. He said because of that promise, he has limited his criticism of Tinubu to political matters.
In Babachir Lawal’s words: “I promised my boss Late Buhari, he told me, ‘You are going to fight your friend (Tinubu) politically, please promise me you will not go personal with your fight’ before he died. And I promised that I will not and I will restrict myself to political issues.”……See More
