Iranians Are Calling For Reza Pahlavi, The Crown Prince In Exile, To Serve As Their Leader -Rahimian

Iranian-American activist and founder of the Iran Liberty Foundation, Hessam Rahimian, has said that a growing consensus is emerging among Iranians both at home and abroad in support of Reza Pahlavi as a transitional leader in the event of regime change.

Speaking during an interview on Fox News on Sunday, April 12, 2026, Rahimian stated that the majority of Iranians across the diaspora and within the country, are rallying behind the exiled crown prince as the most viable figure to guide Iran through a potential political transition.

According to him, Pahlavi’s appeal lies not in a desire to restore monarchy, but in his willingness to serve as a temporary unifying figure capable of overseeing a structured transition to democratic governance.

“The majority of Iranians both inside the country and in the diaspora, are calling for Reza Pahlavi, the Crown Prince in exile, to serve as transitional leader,” Rahimian said.

He explained that Pahlavi has consistently positioned himself as a facilitator of change rather than a long-term ruler, offering a roadmap for a short-term transitional period that would ultimately allow Iranians to determine their own leadership through elections.

Rahimian’s remarks come amid heightened tensions and ongoing international scrutiny of Iran’s internal political situation, with discussions around regime change gaining traction in global policy circles. His comments reflect the perspective of segments of the Iranian opposition, particularly those advocating for a coordinated transition framework in the event of a collapse of the current system.

While the feasibility of such a transition remains uncertain, the endorsement of Pahlavi by sections of the Iranian diaspora continues to feature prominently in conversations about Iran’s political future…..See More
