“US And Israel Fled Empty-Handed From Yemen, Red Sea,” Qaani Claims As Maritime Tensions Escalate

According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Monday, April 13, 2026, A senior Iranian military commander has warned that the United States and Israel will ultimately withdraw from the Middle East without achieving their objectives, amid ongoing regional tensions and military confrontations.

Brigadier General Esmaeil Qaani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force, made the remarks while addressing developments in regional conflict zones, including maritime security hotspots in the Red Sea and surrounding waters.

Qaani claimed that past military and political actions by the United States and its allies in the region have failed to deliver lasting results, arguing that resistance forces have continued to challenge their presence across key strategic areas.

He referenced recent confrontations in maritime corridors, stating that previous engagements demonstrated the limits of external military influence in the region.

“The US and the Zionist regime should remember how they fled empty-handed from the heroic Yemen, Bab-el-Mandeb, and the Red Sea,” Qaani said.

The comments come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where conflicts involving multiple state and non-state actors have intensified concerns over maritime security, energy routes, and regional stability.

Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that foreign military presence in the region contributes to instability, while maintaining that regional groups aligned with Tehran are acting in response to external pressure and intervention.

The United States and Israel have not issued a direct response to Qaani’s latest remarks, but both have consistently maintained that their regional operations are aimed at countering security threats and protecting international shipping routes.
