Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller has said the Trump administration is determined to ensure Iran changes its behavior, insisting that a combination of military, economic and diplomatic measures will continue until Tehran alters its course.
Speaking during an interview on Fox News‘ Hannity on Thursday, July 16, 2026, Miller defended President Donald Trump’s strategy toward Iran, arguing that the administration has adopted a tougher stance than previous U.S. governments in confronting the country’s leadership.
According to Miller, the administration is prepared to sustain pressure on Iran through multiple avenues, including military action, economic sanctions, naval enforcement and coordinated international efforts, with the objective of compelling the Iranian government to comply with U.S. demands.
He maintained that the White House remains committed to seeing the strategy through, expressing confidence that the cumulative impact of these measures would eventually force changes in the Iranian regime’s conduct.
Miller also praised President Trump for what he described as his resolve in handling the crisis, saying the administration would not relent until its objectives were achieved.
