ADC: It Is Not Too Late For Those Committed To Running To Switch To A More Stable Party -Adeniyi

In a recent interview shared by Arise News, Professor of Communications at Baze University, Abiodun Adeniyi, has weighed in on the growing uncertainty within opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on the programme, Adeniyi highlighted the internal crises affecting several political parties, noting that the situation could weaken their chances at the polls. He explained that ongoing legal battles, leadership disputes, and lack of cohesion have created confusion among party members and supporters, raising doubts about their preparedness.

According to him, voters and political stakeholders are likely to become cautious about aligning with parties facing persistent instability. He stressed that confidence plays a key role in political success, and any sign of disarray could discourage potential supporters.

Addressing key opposition figures, Adeniyi said, “It is not too late for any of them who is committed to running to switch to a more stable party.” He pointed out that political history in Nigeria has shown that strategic defections can sometimes improve electoral prospects when done at the right time.

The analyst further noted that while such moves may lead to fragmentation within the opposition, the current level of division already suggests a lack of unity.
