US: Best Course Is To Surrender, Concede Concessions, You Must Get Used To New Regional Order -Rezaei

According to a report by Al Jazeera on May 10, 2026, the spokesperson for the Iranian parliament’s Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, Ebrahim Rezaei, said that Tehran’s “restraint is over” as of today.

He stated: “The clock is ticking against the Americans’ interests; it is to their benefit not to act foolishly and sink themselves deeper into the quagmire they have fallen into. The best course is to surrender and concede concessions. You must get used to the new regional order.”

His remarks followed a warning from Iranian military spokesperson Akrami Nia earlier in the day. Speaking through the Tasnim News Agency, Nia cautioned that any country enforcing US sanctions against Iran would “definitely face difficulties passing through the Strait of Hormuz”.

The statement signals a sharp escalation in rhetoric amid growing regional tensions. Iranian officials have increasingly linked sanctions enforcement to potential risks in key maritime routes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital for global energy shipments.

Tehran has repeatedly accused the United States and its allies of using sanctions as a tool to pressure and weaken Iran’s economy and regional influence. In response, Iranian authorities have warned that such measures could lead to consequences affecting international shipping and security in the Gulf.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most strategically important waterways, with a significant portion of global oil trade passing through it daily. Any disruption in the area is widely viewed as a potential threat to global energy stability.

The latest exchange of warnings has further heightened concerns over possible escalation, although no direct military confrontation has been reported…….See More
