Yoruba Nollywood actress Ebunoluwa Edafe, has shared a painful memory from her past relationship that left her furious.
Speaking in an interview on Talk to B podcast, Edafe recounted the day her ex-husband’s family came for their traditional introduction.
She explained that they arrived very late, which already made her father unhappy and full of complaints.
But the worst part came when she saw what they brought. Instead of the expected twenty-five or even ten litres of groundnut oil, the family arrived with only five litres.
Edafe said the moment she spotted them from a distance, with her father already angry, her own temper exploded.
She started shouting right there, asking how anyone could bring just five litres of oil to ask for her hand in marriage.
The actress admitted that she made a lot of noise on purpose. She wanted her father to see her anger so that he would not be the one to lash out at the guests.
Her plan worked. Her father ended up calming her down instead of attacking the latecomers. He told her to relax and accept the situation.
Her words: “On the day of my introduction with my ex-husband, his family came late and my father started complaining. But when they eventually came, instead of bringing twenty-five or ten litres of groundnut oil, they brought only five litres. When I saw them from afar, with my father already angry, this got me angry and I started shouting that how could they bring only five litres of oil to marry me. It was my father who calmed me down. I intentionally did this so my father would not get mad at them, and he was even the one calming me down.”……See More
