A Nigerian man has expressed shock after discovering that his wife of 11 years had secretly entered into another marriage without his knowledge.
According to The Nation, the incident was shared in a video featured on the Honest Bunch Podcast. In the video, the man narrated how he stumbled upon photos and videos of the wedding circulating on social media.
He explained that their marriage had been long-distance, which made the discovery even more surprising and painful.
The revelation has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many people expressing sympathy for the man while also raising concerns about trust, communication, and challenges associated with long-distance relationships.
While speaking during the interview, the man said,
“Up until now that I am talking to you, she doesn’t know that I have seen the message.”
He also disclosed a message his estranged wife allegedly sent to one of his friends, in which she expressed deep dissatisfaction with the marriage.
In the message, she said she no longer cared whether he loved her or not, questioning what love had done for her “besides stressing” her. She complained that he was not taking care of her as a man should and alleged that he was not satisfying her sexually, noting that she had endured what she described as “unsatisfying sex for almost three years.
She further stated that he was not contributing positively to her spiritual life, was not supportive or generous toward her, and lacked energy or drive toward any meaningful goals. According to her, there was nothing good about him, adding that she often felt irritated by him and even apologised for raising her voice repeatedly.
The woman also claimed that her frustration had reached a point where, if he attempted to touch her, she might “scream out of irritation.” She went on to insult him and warned that he should not act egoistically toward her, describing such behaviour as a serious mistake.
However, she maintained that despite her grievances, she would not allow herself to be involved with another man, saying, “God forbid I let another man use me, whether deliberately or not.”
Further speaking, the man revealed more troubling details about their marriage. He said:
“I am 48 years old and I don’t have a child. I even went for a sperm test, thinking something was wrong with me. I’m from Calabar. Later, I found out she had been taking contraceptives.
“My wife traveled to Miami for a BBL, but she told me she was going for a surgery that would help her conceive.
“If I send my wife a message on Instagram, maybe replying to her story, she would question me and tell me to use WhatsApp instead.”……See More
