Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has accused the United States of sending contradictory signals by continuing to strengthen its military presence in the Middle East while publicly claiming it wants to bring the conflict to an end.
According to Al Jazeera, Ghalibaf said Washington’s actions did not match its rhetoric, arguing that the United States was still moving military equipment into the region despite repeatedly expressing support for ending the war.
He suggested that the deployment of additional military assets raised questions about the sincerity of US calls for de-escalation.
“The Americans continue to bring new military equipment into the region and say they are seeking to stop the war,” Ghalibaf wrote.
He also criticized US officials, saying they had underestimated Iran’s intelligence capabilities and ability to understand Washington’s strategic approach.
Ghalibaf, who is leading Iran’s negotiating team, said Iranian officials have gained significant experience in analyzing US policies and military tactics over the years.
According to him, Tehran has reached a point where it can accurately identify American strategies and has made the necessary preparations to respond to any possible development.
“We have reached the level of full mastery in recognising these American tactics, and we have prepared on that basis,” he said.
The parliament speaker stressed that Iran remains fully prepared for any future actions taken by the United States.
He added that Washington’s credibility would ultimately be judged not by its public statements but by its conduct on the ground.
