According to a report by Al Jazeera English on Saturday July 11, 2026, US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying the United States is prepared to unleash overwhelming military force if Tehran attempts to assassinate him.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that US forces have already been placed on alert and that extensive military plans are in place to respond to any such attack. He said the directives would remain active for at least a year, with the possibility of being extended if necessary.
Trump also asserted that a large number of missiles have already been positioned to strike Iran, adding that even more would be launched if the Iranian government carried out or attempted an attack against him.
