The President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has alleged that the proscribed IPOB Group leader, Nnamdi Kanu who is in DSS Custody claimed he had no idea about the massacre of soldiers in Aba on Thursday.
He stated that Kanu reminded him of his previous public statements, wherein he had renounced the recent activities of IPOB. He also claimed that Kanu had promised to stop the nefarious activities of the IPOB in the South East once he’s released from the DSS Custody.
He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”On Thursday when I heard the story in the morning about the massacre of the soldiers, I was very sad. I was told that the army are fingering IPOB of being behind the attack. I went to see Nnamdi Kanu in the DSS custody and he denied knowing about it.
And he reminded me that he had already made statements sometimes ago renouncing them when they made the announcement that people should not go to work. And he had a made a statement condemning the Sit At Home. And in fact, we spent three hours with him and we asked for a solution. He made a promise to me that the moment he is released, he will be able to mobilize people around to stop all these things they are doing.”..…..See More
