In a recent interview on Channels Television’s “Sunrise Daily” program, Hon. Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, clarified President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s plan to remove fuel subsidies.
Agbonayinma corrected the notion that Tinubu said fuel subsidy is gone during his inauguration, stating that the President had merely announced his intention to do so during his inauguration at Eagles Square.
He noted that Tinubu’s promise to remove fuel subsidies was not a solo campaign pledge, as other presidential candidates, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, had also campaigned on the same promise.
In his words;
“The very day the President was sworn in at Eagles Square, he merely saif he was going to remove fuel subsidy. He promised that he was going to remove fuel subsidy. Is it not the same removal of subsidy that other candidates of different Political parties campaigned with? Atiku, Obi campaigned for removal of fuel subsidy”….Seē _ Morē
