Mr Kingsley Wali, who happens to be a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Rivers State, and the leader of the Unity House Foundation, during an interview with The Punch correspondent, assessed the first year in office of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and also talked about the ongoing crisis between the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and Nyesom Wike.
When he was asked if the presidential mediation that was brokered by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the outset of the political impasse between Wike and Fubara, was a right step in the right direction, Wali said that he did not know if the intervention was right or wrong.
He said, “At the end of the day, somebody might get his fingers burnt. In 2013, I warned former President Goodluck Jonathan and his lovely wife that if they set out to use Wike, they would find out that they were the pawns instead. Nothing has changed.”
Further talking, he said, “You gerriiit ? If you don’t gerriitt, then forget about it. That meeting with the president will certainly be somebody’s Waterloo. What you, and I may not know now is who ? History is your friend and time will tell.”………See More
