Tanko Yunusa, a member of the Labour Party, has praised Peter Obi for his peaceful and respectful approach to politics, drawing a comparison to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Yunusa noted that although Tinubu made derogatory remarks about Jonathan, referring to him as a “drunken fisherman,” Jonathan remained composed and did not retaliate. Yunusa highlighted that Jonathan is now a highly respected figure in Nigeria, and he believes Peter Obi embodies these same qualities of dignity and respect.
Yunusa emphasized that despite the insults and even mockery Jonathan faced, he maintained his composure and is now one of the most revered citizens in Nigeria. He sees Peter Obi as a person who epitomizes this level of respectfulness in politics.
In his own words, he remarked, “Tinubu is on record he called Jonathan a drunken fisherman, I did not say it. They even made coffin of the president but did you see the gentleman say anything? Today, where is Goodluck Jonathan? He is one of the most revered and most respected citizen of the federal republic and he speaks freely. So that is the kind of person that Peter Obi epitomize”….Seē _ Morē
