One of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted after lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju accused Peter Obi of not acknowledging Doyin Okupe when he resigned from the Labour Party.
Deji Adeyanju made the statement after Peter Obi replied Kenneth Okonkwo following his exit from the Labour Party.
Here is what Peter Obi wrote on his page;
“I read my dear brother Kenneth Okonkwo’s open letter in which he expressed differing views with me on the skirmishes in our party. And today I saw various responses to the letter. I want to therefore categorically and emphatically declare that Barrister Okonkwo remains my beloved brother and a trusted ally. I sternly caution against referring to him as a mole or making any negative remarks. Barr. Kenneth Okonkwo has stood by me through thick and thin, and his loyalty and commitment cannot be overstated or diminished. Disagreements and differing opinions are a natural part of any group, society, or movement, and it is essential to maintain a level of respect and decorum even when we disagree”.
After reading the statement, Deji Adeyanju wrote on his page;
“But why didn’t you also do this for Okupe?”.
However, Senator Shehu Sani has now shared his thoughts on the post that was made by Adeyanju. In the post that he made on his official X handle on Monday, he said Doyin Okupe bolted while Kenneth Okonkwo withdrew….Seē _ Morē
