Oseni Rufai reported that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has invited Simisola Fajemirokun Ajayi, an employee of the federal ministry of foreign affairs, for interrogation as part of an investigation into alleged corruption. Ajayi is a female civil servant who has accused Ibrahim Lamuwa, the permanent secretary of the ministry, of sexual harassment.
The minister of foreign affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, had recently notified the head of service of the federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, about the “persisting” allegations of sexual harassment against Lamuwa, stating that he felt it was necessary to write to her due to the “gravity of the matter”.
