Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has spoken about the difficulties the Igbo people encounter during protests in Nigeria
In a video shared by Arise TV, Uzodinma said that Igbos live all over the country, including places like Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, and Lagos. He said that during protests or violent events, Igbos suffer greatly as their shops are looted and their buildings destroyed.
Governor Uzodinma stated that all Nigerians, regardless of their ethnic background, should be treated equally and Igbos deserve the same rights and protections as other citizens.
In Uzodinma’s words: “Igbos are all over Nigeria in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and Lagos. Each time there is any small protest or violence they become the victims. Their shops are looted, their buildings are destroyed, police stations are destroyed. Enough of that nonsense, we are all citizens of this country and we must be given the opportunity of equality in every facet of life”….Seē _ Morē
